DRYKORN dedicates it’s Fall /Winter 2012 collection to the 60ies culture and celebrates the first decade of pop with its fascinating and persistent lifestyle.
Especially the ladies collection shows that the designers were inspired by the impressive characteristics of this time. The women’s designer were inspired by Twiggy and Veruschka, the icons and faces of the cultural revolution during the 60s.
Hardly any other woman than the extraordinary top model Twiggy with her androgynous pixie cut and her long eyelashes embossed the image of women and the style of the 1960ies. She was the most photographed face in the world between 1966 and 1970 not only because she was the leading top model of this decade but also she was incarnating a specific kind of freedom for her generation in times of upheaval.
Besides high quality cotton short shift-dresses and caban blazers in warm winter mohair- and cashmere variations were designed. The collection creates exciting contrasts and a subtle look with tender silk blouses in combination with velour leather pencil skirts and trench coats. Extraordinary combinations of cotton & leather or silk & viscose emphasize the 60ies allure.
Basic color themes of the collection are petrol, indigo blue, blackberry and emerald green. Toxic Orange, mint or mustard are stressing the basic colors, the lining appears in snakeskin optics.
